I’m Renee, an artist, maker, and lifelong learner who believes creativity has a wonderful way of bringing people together.

My little corner of the internet is a place where watercolor paints stain the table, sewing projects occasionally go sideways, books pile up faster than I can read them, and every finished piece teaches me something new. Whether I’m opening a SketchBox, experimenting with a new art supply, stitching a handmade zipper pouch, tending my garden, or sharing a favorite library book, I hope you’ll find inspiration to begin (or continue) your own creative journey.

I don’t claim to know everything, and that’s part of the fun.

This website isn’t about perfection. It’s a creative journal filled with experiments, discoveries, lessons learned, and the quiet joy of making things by hand. Sometimes the projects turn out beautifully. Sometimes they don’t. Every one of them is part of the adventure.

One of the dreams closest to my heart is sharing creativity with others through The Mermaid’s Satchel Project. Thanks to generous donations of art supplies, I’m able to create handmade watercolor and drawing kits for aspiring artists who may not otherwise have the opportunity to begin. Each kit is thoughtfully assembled, packed in a handmade pouch sewn here in my studio, and sent with the hope that one small act of kindness might inspire a lifetime of creativity.
