Keeping Our Cats Happily Supplied

ith a house full of cats, running out of food or litter can turn into a problem very quickly.
Over the years, Chewy has become one of the services we rely on most for keeping our cats fed, comfortable, and supplied.
We order everything from everyday food and litter to specialty foods for our aging cats, and our experience with Chewy has consistently been positive.
Reliable deliveries, helpful customer service, useful Autoship savings, good prices, and, according to the cats, some truly excellent boxes.

Why We Keep Ordering From Chewy
One of the biggest advantages for us has simply been convenience.
Our orders usually arrive within about 24 to 48 hours, which means discovering that we’re almost out of food or litter doesn’t have to turn into an emergency trip to the store.
That matters even more when you’re caring for several cats with different needs.
Chewy has also made it easy for us to find the foods our older cats require without having to search through multiple local stores.
Autoship Makes Life Easier
For the things we use regularly, Autoship has been especially helpful.
Instead of remembering to reorder the same supplies over and over, we can schedule them to arrive automatically and receive an additional discount on eligible Autoship purchases.
In our experience, many of the foods and supplies we buy through Chewy have already been less expensive than what we’ve found locally or through other online retailers before the Autoship savings are even applied.
When you’re feeding and caring for multiple cats, even small savings can make a meaningful difference over time.
What Happens When Something Goes Wrong
The part of Chewy’s service I appreciate most isn’t necessarily what happens when everything goes perfectly.
It’s what happens when it doesn’t.
Over the years, we’ve had orders delivered to the wrong place, damaged in transit, or otherwise mishandled.
When we’ve contacted Chewy about those problems, their customer service has consistently been courteous and ready to help.
When replacement was appropriate, they have acted quickly to make things right.
That kind of service has made it much easier for us to continue trusting them with the things our cats depend upon.
Thoughtful Delivery
We’ve also noticed small details about the way our Chewy packages are delivered.
Our boxes are generally placed in ways that don’t block the door and that keep them relatively discreet rather than leaving them directly in the way.
The food we’ve received has consistently arrived fresh, and we’ve never had an issue with receiving expired food.
Those may sound like small things, but when you’re ordering necessities for animals you care about, small things matter.
The Boxes May Be the Real Product
Of course, our cats have their own opinions about Chewy.
They are usually interested in the food.
They are sometimes interested in the toys.
But they are absolutely fascinated by the boxes and packing paper.
Every delivery seems to become a temporary cat fort, bed, hiding place, or ambush station.
Sometimes I suspect we’re ordering pet supplies merely as an elaborate method of obtaining fresh cardboard.
Why I Recommend Chewy
I recommend Chewy because we’ve used them ourselves for years.
For our household, they have made cat care easier and more affordable through convenient delivery, competitive pricing, Autoship savings, specialty food options, and customer service that has consistently treated us well when something went wrong.
Another household may have a different experience, but ours has been overwhelmingly positive.
For anyone caring for cats, especially older cats or pets with specific dietary needs, I think Chewy is worth exploring.

Our cats may be slightly more enthusiastic about the boxes than what comes inside them.

About This Recommendation
I currently do not have an affiliate or sponsorship relationship with Chewy.
This page is based entirely on our own experience ordering food, litter, and other supplies for our cats.
If that changes in the future and I begin using an affiliate link, I will clearly disclose that relationship here and anywhere those links appear.
